Phone was returned to o2 in Nov2020. O2 failed to receipt it correctly. 16 months later out of blue they stick a default in my credit record. I was buying the house from my landlord, Halifax pulled the mortgage offer and landlord kicked me out to put house on open market. I have no receipt for postage as they waited a year and a half to even do the default. This is beyond ridiculous, they have ruined my life and cost thousands in wasted surveyor and solicitor fees. They have refused to remove the default. How can they get away with this? I have a lot of saving so can fund legal action but what kind of solicitor do I need?

Have you discussed with the CFR team and followed the complaints process fully?

I'd suggest you speak with Citizens Advice regarding the next steps if so.

This is the not the place to ask for Legal Advice, that is only as MI5 says the CAB or StepChange can help with advice..
Or maybe look at the CIDAR service or FOS, although both will ask for you to prove it was returned..

Hiya, yes been through ombudsman. Credit referral team refusing to remove. They just keep saying its been applied correctly. O2 did actually agree on the 3rd of March to remove it but there now said the person who made that agreement wasn't authorised to do so..

Yes, I'm not asking for legal advice here, I'm asking what kind of solicitor do I need.

A Consumer Law Specialist will help..
I would suggest going back to the Ombudsman and getting them to enforce it, as o2 have agree to remove and as such are in breach of the CIDAR adjudication.

Update, the ombudsman have said they have no power to force o2 to honor that agreement. What is the CIDAR adjudication?
