Solved: PAC without spending £10

Dear community,

I got a PAYG O2 sim which I wanted to use but the network reception is very poor and hence decided not to use O2. The contact number is however in use now since I mainly have incoming. Is is possible to port my number to a different network without wasting £9+ just to get a PAC code?
