I’m in Greece and can’t make called to uk.   Failed.   Works maybe once every 3 days.      Suspect it’s a 2g 4g issue.    I’ve data working fine.    Has anyone actually got calls working.   Texts also an issue

@omaghlad30

Switch phone to 2g only for calls or try manually searching for a different nbetwork that may still have 3g.

4g calling is coming later in the year.

If data works fine, switch to, for example, WhatsApp - both you and the people you wish to talk to will need to have WhatsApp enabled on their phone, but it handles calls, messaging, video calling and photo sharing, all with your data connection, @omaghlad30

Good luck!

Thanks but still doesn’t work on 2g

managed to connect a call earlier on 4g.  Network automatically dropped down to 2g.   Complete random. Tried another call straight after with no success

o2 told me pay monthly or a higher value payg bundle would have less issues.

also can only manually connect to 2 Greek networks not Vodafone

Nothing to do with the value of your PAYG package @omaghlad30

There's no 4g calling on any PAYG tariff yet.

Sounds like the local network having issues with your connection TBH.

Just to say 3G has now been totally shut down in Greece.

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

At the moment only switching to 2G will give you calls. Contract customers have 4G calling so there is not a problem

O2 have intimated 4G calling will be available to PAYG customers by the end of the year

Link provided above but as I said originally, the only way is to use 2g for calls until then.
