As you have asked this in the Pay As You Go section: Have you topped-up your new PAYG SIM card, @Joe20?  All the ways here: Guide: My O2 Pay & Go - and a voucher may be necessary for the very first top-up if you have not purchased your PAYG SIM from an O2 Shop (where they top it up for you).
