why do i keep getting peoples names on my contacts list and on as if they have rung me

What happens when you reboot your phone?

You may need a new sim. You can get one instore if you take ID. The store staff have guru's who may be able to help if a new sim doesn't work.

One idea for future is save your contacts to your phone and not your sim.
