Earlier this year I was coerced by who I assume was a gang member into opening an account with both O2 and Vodaphone. I was too scared to go forward to the police until I realised how serious the matter as I began to receive letters about sending the debt onto debt collectors. I was left entirely helpless unable to pay the bills for phones that I don’t even own! After contacting the police and reporting the matter to the fraud team at both O2 and Vodaphone, Vodaphone closed the account within a week after acknowledging that the contract was signed under duress, O2 on the other hand have been entirely unresponsive. I have been reading up online about the O2 fraud department and the hopelessness is starting to kick in again. It’s only been 2 weeks since O2 received the crime number from the police but from the forum it looks like they will be looking into it for a while and this may not even be the end of it!! This has been so incredibly stressful for me and my family and we just want an end to all of this unnecessary overwhelming stress. I see that @O2Emma has a good rep for dealing with situations like this so I was hoping you would be able to help in this matter. I received my final bill for the entirety of the device plan and two months of the contract yesterday and if I don’t pay in 2 weeks they are threatening to send it to a debt collector. I desperately need an answer from the fraud team before this happens!! please help.

There is no longer any o2 support on this forum, so no o2 staff will reply.
Unfortunately if the fraud team are involved they are legally restricted by what they can tell you.. and I am afraid you will have to persevere with customer services.

such a struggle!! thank you for letting me know, I really wish there was another way of contacting O2 staff members or the fraud team it’s horrendous
