Hi all,

I got a call from 0344 826 0202, they informed me that they were looking to wipe my contract clean and upgrade me to an iPhone 11 on a cheaper contract deal.

It was something to do with my contract being with Carphone Warehouse and that they were looking to put me on a O2 contract.

They offered no upfront costs and when they call me back they'll send a link for me to accept the deal.

I'm just wondering if this is a scam or real.

Any help would be much appreicated

@NS1998

It is an O2 number and  recently O2 were offering to pay off contracts with CPW. I thought this had finished though.

You would be better off calling O2 yourself and checking this out

All numbers are in this guide Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support

Advice from an O2 Guru regarding a way to get through:

If you call 202, when it comes to the reason you are calling stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.

Press 2 for Everything Else

Press 5 for More Options

Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to someone.

Press Upgrade, Lost/Stolen if you have to, to get put through to someone.

@NS1998

The buy out offer is still current, I checked this myself last week.

It's also common for networks to discount the previous years models when the new iPhone is just around the corner.

It is a genuine offer so if it's what you want, go for it wink

Does anyone know if there is a return numebr to call for these 03448260202 numbers? I had a similar offer and asked them to call back after I've had a look at which phone I'd like to get. Since then they haven't called back and having spoke to o2 they have no knowledge of this offer and can't put me in touch with the outbound team that originally offered it. Gutted as it would have been a cracking deal for myself.

Maybe @Marjo @Martin-O2 or @LukasB can help?

Thanks @MI5

When you say,

"The buy out offer is still current, I checked this myself last week."

Is it the case that o2 are buying out CPW deals early?
