Transfer from Vodafone to O2

I purchased an iphone 5 on a monthly contract from O2 in January and reqested a transfer of my number from Vodafone at the begining of February.  This was supposed to have been done but I experienced trouble in receiving calls and texts from anyone on a Vodafone network.  I contacted O2 and Vodafone and we tried several new SIM, cards a new handset etc.  In April and by now in a desperate situation as my sons and husband were not able to contact me, I visited an O2 shop in Bluewater and the person I spoke to did something to correct this issue. During the last week of October this year the problem has re-occurred.  I am not able to receive any calls or texts from a vodafone customer.  I have had several visits to a Guru in my local shop, I have had several conversations both on line and in person with the customer services team in both Vodafone and O2 and no one is helping me.  They blame each other!

Can anyone help?  Has anyone had this issue?

I can't think of anything other than checking your blocked number list on your phone.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

I have exactly the same problem. I transfer number from Vodafone to O2 and now nobody from Vodafone can contact me by call or text. Did you sort it out?

The most ironic thing is they are both owned by Telefonica. I had a similar issue with the transfer. You are better to delete any and reset your telephone APN's back to default as well. This will sort out any gremlins.

Actually Vodafone isn't owned by them however they both run the 4G thing.

Indubitably true. Samsung S21 Ultra and Xiaomi 14 Ultra

Hi

Call 202 and ask them to get the porting team to check the routing of calls from vodafone to O2 - my suspicion (and I might be wrong in this) is that something went wrong during the port in a very small way - not enough to affect your overall service, but enough to mis-route things from vodafone to O2.   If there is a problem there it should be confirmed within 24-48h.
