Hi

Apologies if this is the wrong board for this question.

I received a text from O2 UK this morning about *fraud alert* and went on to say if anyone has called me and asked me for a code I should hang up.

I then received a second text saying ****** - welcome to O2 wifi, this is your verification code.

I'm not a customer with O2, does this mean someone has setup an account or bought services from O2 using my details?

@FinnB You can call customer service and ask if anyone has tried to set up an account in your name. The numbers are here: Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support

Use the Fraud option to get through. Otherwise you'll just be disconnected.

Also check with your bank to see if there have been any unknown charges to your account.

Take a look at these links as well:

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2
