as an electronic and IT engineer if my sim is faulty, i'll eat it, and my wife's sim as well!
As for rebooting phones, I get that advice so often its a joke.
The only way to check with a proper field strength meter. As I don't own one,plan B is to cancel my O2 contract at its end, buy a few PAYG sims from your competitors and see what works best for me.
I should have done it years ago
By the way, still waiting for a return call on my landline from O2 after none of us could make calls on mobiles for last two days. Am not surprised

my wife likes the outdoor life, as I was working away it didnt bother me too badly.
Now Im retired, I have the time to pursue the problem
