Hi. Vodafone are bringing 4G coverage to my area in the next few months. After talking to an O2 advisor online about poor signal, I was told that with the mast sharing deal, I will be getting 4G on O2 around the same time as Vodafone bring it. However, I have just spoken to an advisor about a separate issue (which I'm getting to =] ) and he said that the mast sharing deal wont mean I get 4G when vodafone bring it, which contradicts what I was told. Does anyone know anything about it all? I know everyone on here is a customer and not an O2 rep, but hopefully someone can shed some light on it?
Also, I sold an iPad mini to O2 via O2 recycle, and chose bill credit. The credit has (finally) been applied, but I was told to cancel my D/D otherwise it would never be used to pay my contract. This seems like a fairly stupid way to go about it. Has anyone had any experience with this?

Mast sharing doesn't mean equipment sharing so you are unlikely to get 4G until O2 upgrade their equipment.
No need to cancel direct debit as it won't take whilst your account is in credit.

That is completely wrong advice. Keep an eye on your account so as not to miss any payments or else you will get cut off and a default placed on your credit file - O2 are pretty ruthless like that with non payment of bills 😞

The payment will continue to come from your credit until it's used up and the direct debit will then kick in automatically. You need to do nothing at all with the direct debit and no need to call customer service at all.

jonsie - I'm reading it that joel has cancelled the DD so it won't automatically kick back in now....?
Or am I reading it wrong?

I didn't realise until rereading that he had cancelled the direct debit so yes, he needs to make sure it's reinstated before the credit is fully used up.
