Potential Scam

Has anyone received a call from 0871 3096242 ?  They said they were from O2 promotions offering a 30% discount.  When I told them I was already on a Friends and Family discount, they said I could still get 30% off this !!  I thought that sounded odd and told them I didn't think they were from O2

They were quite persistent and told me I only had today to take up the offer.  Accents were not from the UK

The person then told me to look out for a text from O2 which would prove it was O2 calling and that there was a code on it.  Anyway, the text did actually arrive and it gave me the code but I did not act on it.  The weird thing was that I had previous messages from the same number from what was appearing to be O2 so not sure what to think

Never ever accept a phone deal from a cold caller. It will NOT be O2.

Block the number and report it free to 7726.
