No response from fraud team and still receiving bills.

On the 17th December I reported to 02 that a mobile phone contract had fraudulently taken out using my names and details. I discovered this from checking my credit report. The account was opened on the 27th November. I called 02 and had my case passed onto the fraud team. Since then I have had no contact from 02. However, I am still receiving bills threatening to take legal action against me and to pass the debt onto a debt collection service. This needs to be sorted quicker. When I’ve tried calling customer service again I just get told to wait.

Due to the laws and regulations around fraud there is very little o2 are allowed to tell you, whilst it is been investigated and if it goes to the police and other investigatory bodies to be be resolved.

 

And with it been the holiday period things will not happen quickly

 

@O2KyleW might be able to give some assistance in putting the account on hold etc
