Credit Referrals Not Reaponding

Can someone please help or advise?.
I have emailed the credit referrals team on 3 occasions since 6/9/18 in the attempt to get an incorrect default removed from my credit file. However I have had absolutely no response.
I have spoken to O2 complaints dept regarding this matter who also sent the referrals dept an email requesting that they contact me ASAP to try and resolve this matter as they have no record of me owing any monies or being in default.
I find it hard to believe that the 02 complaints team don’t even have an in-house, direct phone number to the credit referrals dept??!! This was a default recorded in 2014 but I have no additional information which account/number it relates to. Only the basic info found on my credit file.
Can anyone advise how I can escalate this problem as I am gradually becoming a very disgruntled, loyal customer who is at the point of taking business elsewhere.

This is the frustration created by the credit referral team, no answer for weeks, why? I can icture a two man team who have the same lunches and holidays. A default is a serious problem for customers, some have deserved ut many others have never been informed and know nothing until applying for a mortgage or another form of borrowing. If issues could be dealt with quickly then the possibility of and joy of buying a family home would be much ess stressful.

They are one step down from God and at least I would not expect any answer from above, but we have every right to expect a response to an email rather than waiting weeks and wondering if there is more than one man and his dog on the team especially given that you can't actually speak to that man or his dog. You would get a quicker decision on Brexit!
