I was wondering if anyone had taken out a contract that I included the deal for Airbuds Pro for £1. I received my redeem code today, which still stated the £1 deal, however, on purchase i was charged £41. Curious as to whether anyone has experienced

the same.

Not heard of that from anyone else.

Did you choose to pay in full, then add the discount code?

Same problem for me. Looks like the voucher code deducts a certain amount from the price rather than reduces it to £1. Can only assume the price has gone up on the buds so the reduction of £178 (IIRC) nets you £41 total.

I phoned customer services, (India) as per usual. Seemingly the codes were wrong, hence the overcharge. My buds are already on the way, they want me to return them, and go through the process again. Now going by the issues people are having with getting codes, getting the buds in stock etc. I am not confident in their process, and cant be bothered with the usual back and forth with them. Bit of a joke to be honest.

@Carpediem888 and @D-Dingo

There are now other threads on this forum about this issue.

How did you get them to dispatch your buds @D-Dingo ? Did you pay the excess ?

I think if I was in your position @D-Dingo, I would hang onto the buds and discuss the money side of things with the O2 complaints team :-

Given the circumstances, I expect that you will get a favourable outcome !

Agreed. You should not have to pay the extra at all, nor be sending them back and reordering.

Ask for compensation to cover the additional charge.

Cheers for the info.

I have lodged a complaint, as I am certainly not sending them back, nor should the responsibility fall on me for their error.

I've had the same issue - £41 on checkout instead of £1. I've not purchased yet. What did customer services advise? Were they going to send a new code out?
