Can't make new insurance claim

Initially I tried to make my claim yesterday (11/04/2020) morning by calling O2 Customer Services using the 202 number. As I went through the process the automated system told me that new claims were only being accepted for lost or stolen phones and that I should go to the ‘MyO2’ or the O2 website for further assistance. I ended the call at this point and went to both MyO2 and the O2 website and both sources said that in order to make a new insurance claim I needed to phone O2 customer services on the 202 number.

Which is what I had done earlier and was told only claims for lost and stolen phones were being accepted.

I attempted to contact customer services on the 202 number for a second time as advised by the O2 website and MyO2 and this time I stayed on the line and said I wanted to make a new claim but after a few moments waiting the call appeared to be automatically ended.

Anyone able to offer any advise on what I can do next?

Customer services are closed today @Neogeta (apart from lost and Stolen)

(Pay As You Go lines are closed)
Easter SundayClosed
Easter Monday10am – 4pm

It's pot luck with customer services currently. Some people get through by trying the numbers above and even if their problem isn't urgent, they get dealt with.

It's the only advice on offer at the moment. Sorry.
