I have recently bought a Nokia Lumia 520. Everything works except receiving texts, it sends OK and that`s it. Any pointers please

Hi.

Does this happen with all incoming texts or just certain contacts ?

Check the phones settings to ensure you have not accidentally added a persons number to your blocked list.

If not this then ring O2 on 202 contract or 4445 payg to check your account and pop your postcode here http://status.o2.co.uk to check your your masts are ok.

One other remedy is to have your sim swapped out at an O2 store.

Sometimes it's just Network congestion that delays texts so by rebooting your phone (turning it off and on) helps.

I have been into settings and noticed a message in Google "attention required" but next message is "Google accont info is incorrect". I have tried all my known mail addresses to no avail. Could this be my problem and how do I find the correct info ?

Receiving texts would have nothing to do with Google, but if your Google account info is incorrect you should re-enter your details anyway. Are your contact details stored on Google?
