I am currently using a sim in a tp-link M7350 4g LTE mobile wifi device for data only but it refuses to connect to the o2 network when using this device. Have tried the sim in an iphone and works and connects to o2 network fine.

Checked for hardware updates etc for M7350 but unable to install as cannot connect to internet!

Help please!

Is this a new setup, @richell?  A standard phone SIM won't work properly in a data-only device like a router - you need to get a Data SIM from O2 (despite what you hear, in O2's case, the SIMs are different).

If the system has worked for a while and suddenly stopped, it could be a SIM issue, you'll need to get a replacement SIM from O2. Or it could be an update on the tp-link itself has changed a few things to give the O2 SIM issues, that's probably best checked out from the tp-link support site rather than here. Good luck!

Good luck!

@richell

Check the router has the correct O2 apn.

Thanks MI5. I think it was using O2 pay-as-you-go rather than O2 pay-monthly so have changed the APN.

Thanks for the info - much appreciated.

Thanks pgn. I did a factory reset and managed to get online. Checked firmware which was the latest version but there was an ISP update which I have now installed. Will see how it goes. The SIM is from an old phone so may well contact O2 for a data one. I didn't realise they were available.

Thanks for the info - much appreciated.
