Using accented characters with Blackberry Q10

Anonymous
Not applicable

If you want to include accents or indeed, type in a different language altogether, the way of doing it is different in BB10. Try this.

Setup->Settings->Language and Input scroll down to Input Languages.

You can use any three at at a time, and including French and Italian for example, will give you both variants of accents.

Additionally, if you want to use accents in a language not listed by BlackBerry, click on the three vertical dots in the bottom righthand corner of BB hub. Click Settings->text messages-> then symbol in bottom centre of screen->advanced-allow special characters - ON.

Now when you type, press and hold down the character you want to wish to modify, and six options will magically appear along the bottom of the screen. Enjoy!
