SIM card number - breakdown

Anonymous
Not applicable
Hello,

Please could somebody provide me information on how the 19 digit SIM card number is broken down and what the numbers represent?

I have looked at other sites (wikipedia etc.) but the o2 SIM card number doesnt seem to fit in. For example, the "time/date" 4 digit part in my o2 number is 0064. Meaning the SIM would have been created in December 2064.

Any information would be greatly appreciated as it is being used for a 3rd year University project into SIM card forensics.

Thanks,
Jon.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I'm studying Computer Forensics and have chosen to do a project on SIM cards. I'm not asking anyone to provide their SIM number, just a breakdown of what numbers represent what.

I was hoping one of the o2 team would be able to reply to this thread.
