Hey Guys,

Got some great news for all you Nokia fans out there! slight_smile You all will be delighted to know that we’re currently testing and working closely with Nokia UK to unveil the Windows Phone 7.8 software update for Lumia 610, Lumia 710, Lumia 800 and Lumia 900 soon to ensure it delivers a superb user experience.

Once we have a green light for the roll-out, we’ll update this post and O2 customers will be available to download the update via Zune. Exciting times, right?! Meanwhile, I’m curious to know which particular feature from the latest version (7.8) are you guys waiting for?

I'm not sure what there is not to understand. It plainly states that it's going out in batches so why the need to post that people haven't got it yet?

Some people have 'forced the update' with this method. (click on this WP Central link)

I actually got it to work with Mango, but didn't have any success with 7.8, but some have, so might be worth a read

Thank you so much for this.

Downloading the update now via zune for my 800.

Put your phone in flight mode - with the internet connected click on update. Will show no update found. Click on the word above update, click back on update - after two seconds disconnect internet (i used the hardware button my laptop), will show an update found. Reconnect internet and click update.

It says may need to do this several times - will repost when I know more.

First update went in fine.

It then took a few attempts the same way to get the second update - support for phones without physical camera button.

Third update downloading now grin

havent seen it listed here yet but i'd like to confirm the above listed trick is working for the lumia 900 took around 8/9 attempts and really does seem like a timing thing although for me about 3-5 seconds on pulling the ethernet cable

installing the 3rd update now !

This is what I'd like to know too.  Anyone from O2 able to answer this?

Edit:  Oops, this was meant to be a reply to andymoore's post on page 1.

'Anyone have any idea when the HTC HD7 & Mozart7 are likely to get 7.8?'

I guess the reply button within posts doesn't do what I expected it to do!
