But I'm having a difficult choice choosing between the Samsung galaxy note 3 and the HTC one.
They both seem like nice phones but I really don't know, was drifting towards the HTC but now toward to note 3 haha
Must be easy to type on, I will be playing a few games so must have good game play on it, and also looking for strong battery life!
Was thinking about the iphone 5s but not too sure about that anymore to be honest.
Also one other question, when I get one of these phones. Does anyone do anything to 'optimise' the battery, like letting it drain fully then charging fully? Or doesn't anything like this make a difference?
I'm only 16 but making mum get me the contract, Its going to be 2 years so I want one I will be able to use for 2 years no problem, without getting bored or anything haha.
Thankyou and hope you can help!:)

Hi @Anonymous and welcome.
Please take as much time looking at available Contract terms and Tariffs as this is as important as choosing a nice new shiny phone.
This is a long term commitment which is usually 18-24 months, even if your Mum is doing this for you.
What I would suggest is going to your High Street Stores which have your shortlist of devices as working demo models, and spend some quality time having a play with them all.
The specs for each are on their manufacturers home pages.
View videos on YouTube.
The battery imo should be callibrated at least once a month which is basically letting it drain to under 10% and then fully recharge.
Enjoy the journey.

Hi @Anonymous and welcome to the forum.
I have a grandson the same age as yourself and he did exactly what @Anonymous suggested.
The contract terms and conditions will be something that I am sure your Mum will look at closely with
you.. but as you say, the phone has to be one that you decide is the best to meet your needs.
Once you have your phone please come back and let us know what you have chosen.

Note 3 is a better phone but is also bigger. If you can live with the size, then go for that. The HTC is just as capable but for games and movies the screen is not as good as the note, nor is the battery life.
Regards battery, just charge it when it needs charging. You don't have to do anything special with batteries these days.....

I'd agree with BoB here, go into a store with live phones and spend time trying to do what you think your main usage would be with each one. Also take into account where you are likely to be carrying the phone given the size.
The Note has a removable battery which means if battery life is crucial you can get a spare to swap out when necessary although the Notes have a large battery to start with. The HTC One's battery is sealed in meaning if you needed a boost away from power you would need an external battery pack.
I only have the Note 2 but it's great for playing back media from either the SD card or using a USB stick with OTG adapter. Don't play many games so wouldn't want to comment on that aspect.

Also can the note 3 get most apps even though it's much bigger? Like snapchat, BBM, instagram etc?
Thankyou
