Blackberry Curve 9320 Outgoing Calls Disconnect

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi there I wonder if you can help me.  I have an o2 Simplicity 600 tariff for my daughters phone which we replaced at Christmas when we bought her a Blackberry Curve 9320.  This came with an o2 pay and go simcard, but we were assured that we would be able to simply use her existing sim card in this phone without any worries.

Our problem lies in the fact that whilst she is able to accept incoming calls she is unable to make any outgoing calls with the phone, every call disconnects.  We tried her sim card again in her old blackberry and the call was connected.  As far as we can tell we've also tried all of the setting solutions via the blackberry site and manuals to solve this problem, but nothing is working.  Please could anyone give us clue as to what is causing this.  Thank you

Faulty phone. Take it back and try your sim in another 9320 in store.

Hi again.  I thought I'd drop by and quickly update you on our situation.

Thinking that we would need to replace the Blackberry I downloaded the Blackberry Desktop application on my pc (available from the BB site) and backed up all of her personal files.  I then performed a Security Wipe on the phone which restores the phone to the factory settings and deletes additional info, and lo and behold, it's working a treat Smiley Very Happy

Thanks for all your help, I wouldn't have got here without you.
