Channel 4 has taken over the terrestrial viewing for Formula 1 after BBC opted out of the contract.
I love F1 and am a bit dubious as to how successful this will be. However they have stated there will be no adverts during race time (thank god)
Yesterday they officially revealed the presenting team......
David Coulthard, Mark Webber, Alain Prost, Alex Zanardi, Susie Wolff, Karun Chandhok, Eddie Jordan and Bruno Senna; alongside seasoned live presenters and journalists Steve Jones, Ben Edwards and Lee McKenzie.
It also says Guy Martin will be making appearances

Well I have never been so confused in my life.......need to be very skilled in maths to work out this 90 second rule. Suffice it to say after Q2 end there were only 8 left in...Then they all went out and dropped like flies with a clock counting them down...Left with 2 who went out for a 'flying lap' A bit of a fiasco if honest..
All I will say.... without giving anything away.. is

As usual Bernie Ecclestone isn't happy at this revolt......
Ecclestone said: "If we go back, Mercedes would be first and second.
"What I don't want to see is where you and I could predict how the grid is going to be for the start of a race, and how that race is going to finish."
Ermmm excuse me? Isnt that exactly what happened with the new system??....
Anyway Lewis is on pole....and that's all that matters...

Bit ofa pin ain't he...
Surely it's up to the other teams to catch-up rather than penalising the team with the best car and drivers? If they want a spectacle then do away with qualifying and just draw lots for grid position.... Oh wait... ths sport loses money and Bernie the Dolt will be history!

Actually though I did admire Lewis's comments post race.
He said I am paid to drive..I drive to the best of my ability. People think F1 'ain't what it used to be' with all the technology. True..it's even more demanding. I have to race faster whilst working out what's what on the dashboard computer.
He was making reference also about the new limits re what is said over the team radio. He made the point that if his tyres and brakes are overheating/failing etc...then surely HE as a driver should be able to recognose this and act accordingly...
I think the boy just wants to get in the car and drive like hell....
