footie: Euro 2016

Anonymous
Not applicable

I made a mistake in the virtual lounge or Wanty's ... ... ... by saying England are into the knock-out part of the game ... well ... they arn't are they yet ... *eats humble pie* ... are they? ... ... ... after the pub this afternoon / early evening ... I now know England play on Monday, is it Turkey? ... & they can win or draw & they will be through to the next stage

this kinda thing from England gives me an attack of the heebie-jeebies

I shall watch the match on Monday with 'heart in mouth'

From the last major footie competition ie World Cup 2014 in was it Brazil? ... ... ... where we did not get out of the group stage (memory being excercised here) ... sumut to do with England's best players in the Premiership being foreigners & playing for their own countries

This time around do we have some home-grown players to represent England? ... Vardi?

Sven was loyal to Beckham ... ... ... is Hodgson loyal to Rooney in the same way? ... ... ... Don't know

But for the Welsh heroics this competition has been just awful in terms of quality and excitement.

And much discussion as to who will accept the poisoned chalice of becoming Englands new manager.

Jurgen Klinsmann appears to be in the frame, as does Sam Allardyce, Gareth Southgate and Eddie Howe (Bournemouth)... Mention has also been made of Arsene Wenger. I suppose it will end up with someone we have never heard of....Fear

Good job though for anyone. Take them to the next championship, select wrong players and tactics then get sacked with a few million payoff. All for the national sport of slating the manager of England....

Who would be your first choice guys? Or a few managers that you think would be good. I thought Glenn Hoddle was an interesting choice. He has experience I guess too ;).

Big Sam would be my choice.

Not an expert on football managers really. Though currently someone who isn't even in the running would be my choice. All Hail Claudio Ranieri Happy Dance
