This picture of Windermere, taken from the top deck of an open top bus, is allegedly the best view from a bus stop in England - so says the sign at the roadside anyway.

The stop is opposite the Low Wood Bay Hotel , just outside Ambleside.

To be fair, if there is a better view from a bus stop, then I haven't seen it yet - maybe another of our members can correct me (and the bus stop sign)

I have been to Windermere with my mum a couple of years ago and we loved it @Projectionist, shame that it rained during the time we were there but we still thoroughly enjoyed the pubs
