Well February's inflation figures are out so we now know what the annual increase would have been on the old RPI plus 3.9% formula. It would have come in at 7.6%
This means my £8 per month contract would have risen to around£8.60. However, under the new system it will be £9.80!
You can work out your own
Can I offer a big "Well Done" to OFCOM, the networks friend. They could have banned mid contract rises if they so wanted.

I'm on the same £8 tariff and £1.80 increase is beyond reasonable
The networks will be enjoying their increased shareholder bonuses this year for sure

My £8 contract is due up Mid March. If there is no movement on USwitch I just may give up. Volt is also getting too expensive and our estate is all Fiber so plenty of choice

Virgin is bordering on the ridiculous now for broadband and tv but I'm tied in until June
I certainly don't need the 250Mb I'm currently getting and don't need the 80GB from O2 so I may well just save a lot of money by going with one of the many offering fibre around these parts

+1 for the £8 tariff, but my 12 months is up tomorrow.
Also have my fingers crossed that USwitch or someone has a deal before April.

Yeah, think I'll continue the waiting game @Enlli
Fingers crossed there will be something on there that skips the April '25 increase soon...
