Word Hunt Diamond game - Important Notice

- and anyone else who has taken part in or watched Word Hunt Diamond games.

As you are probably more than aware, there has been a problem in recent WHD games - with me missing words posted, which could affect the game, particularly towards the end when there are few words in the list to find.

One of the difficulties, due to the format of the forum, is words may be posted whilst I am replying to posts, so posts "leap frog" or are out of synch.

As a way to help me, and hopefully avoid at least some of the problems, may I please ask each wordsmith who takes part in tomorrow`s [Tuesday`s] Word Hunt Diamnd game and any future game...

Please refresh the page after each and every post you make...

as this should help keep posts in synch and help me avoid missing your post.

Thank you for your help in this and hopefully WHD will be as much fun as its always been

That's something I don't do. Unlike many who pop in and out because they have jobs to go to, I stay with WHD from start to finish.

We all play the game differently. Once I see the Diamond of Words, I have my head down in my notepad chucking out and writing down as many words I can think of. As soon as someone posts a word on my list, I cross it off but occasionally I miss one, which is why words get repeated. If I didn't do it this way, I may as well not play the game 😂

There are players (including me) who request updates frequently, which is more pressure on the quizmaster.

There's no point expecting folk to slow down, if they are only here for a short while, they tend to post fast.

Now @Mi-Amigo's request to refresh your page may not work but unless we try, we will never know.

As this game is my favourite of all we play, I would hate it to disappear just because it's too damn hard for @Mi-Amigo to run it.👍

Anything to ease the pain - when it moves to the next page, it can get a bit fiddly, I have noticed.

There's also the silly issue of the choice to use the 'Reply To' or Reply buttons. If, for instance, I replied to

@Mi-Amigo, that post would remain under his until I either refreshed my page, or we moved onto a new page or someone posted after me. I am a member of many forums and have never seen that sort of useless feature before now!

Not a problem normally, but in a fast moving, one word game it might well be. 🙄

I agree with this  @Cleoriff 

I  will try to always post under original posting as it is then top of page.  Posting in reply someone else gets lost

We can only do best.  I  enjoy it but I  can't stay the game.

When you post a reply it looks out of sync because the server has not yet sorted your post in to order, but this is only your view (Others will see it in order or not at all until a refresh of their page)

It is confusing because when you post an answer and send you don't see it in order from your own view until you refresh your own page (You can see it's not right until a refresh - because it will number your message as a higher number than the total number currently for that thread)
