If you love F1, I hope you have Silverstone on now?. Atmosphere is brilliant.

Re: Women in sports & women's world cup

I enjoyed the women’s World Cup, I thought they showed a lot of skill, and it was good to see them playing the game in the right spirit (apart from Cameroon of course, their behaviour in the England game was disgraceful).

The impressive viewing figures aren’t that surprising really, particularly when you consider that so many other big sporting events are only available to watch on the likes of Sky or BT Sport etc. It’s little wonder that the Cricket World Cup has struggled to attract the same attention, and it’s a timely reminder of how important terrestrial television is, when it comes to raising the profile of so-called minority sports.

Actually, I had to look up the rules, to work out how they ended up winning that match Smiley Indifferent

My local had the cricket on the big screen, and the tennis was relegated to a small telly with the sound turned down. Formula 1 didn’t get a look-in  Smiley Indifferent

How surprising NOT!. This is a country who had no British interest in the Wimbledon final but would far rather show tennis, than a 5 x world championship making history AGAIN at Silverstone.
