Hi Guys & Gals,

Wimbledon starts this Monday 23rd of June 2014 to Sunday 6th of July 2014

Can Andy Murray defend his 2013 win ?

I remember the positive atmosphere when Andy managed to take the win against Novak Djokovic.  Drum

Well he did become the first man from Great Britain to win the singles title since Fred Perry in 1936.  Bouncy

The womens final between Marion Bartoli, {winner} and Sabine Lisicki was a very good final too.

Now England are out of the World Cup Football we need something else to cheer on. Cheers

@aldaweb thank you for the 2 Monty Python's Flying Circus links to the sketch(s) of the scotman playing against a blacmange at Wimbledon Thanks!I don't remember those sketches,but ...

at school as a teenager the day after MPFC was broadcast the previous evening = it was the big topic of conversation & you were really 'square' if you didn't or weren't allowed to watch the programme on tv

I remember some sketches eg dead parrot + fish slapping dance + ministry of silly walks + 'I'm a lumberjack and I'm ok = it was a mandatory tv programme for me ... my mum & dad also watched it

:smileyhappy::smileyhappy::smileyhappy:

my favourite commedian has to be Eric Morecambe LOL

To add to that Wispa (and slightly off topic)...MPFC guys are back on tour. The eldest John Cleese is 74...

I tell you what I always thought was the biggest laugh all those years ago ...the naked pianist who opened the show ....LOL

Oh dear.

Who to focus on now.

I'm looking at the young Australian who beat Nadal yesterday.

Wow he's good.
