THE SURPRISE:
When I posted the questions, I did say there would be a surprise with this quiz.
Here it is
Q1 [HISTORY - 1] Which King of England was Eleanor of Aquitaine married to?
A1 Henry II
This was the £1 million question on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, which Judith Keppell correctly answered and became the first person to win £1 million on the show.
But Judith had four answers to choose from - inc Henry I and Henry II
I am pleased to announce that, without a multichoice -
@Cleoriff @MI5 @jonsie @pgn @gmarkj
all answered the question correctly
The White Room Quizzers have, between them, now
got a question right which Paul Sinha got wrong on The Chase
got a question right which some of the UK best quizzers got wrong on Ch 4`s The Hardest Question
and have now got a question right which won £1 million on WWTBAM
No longer can Jeremy Vine claim that the Eggheads are "possibly the greatest quiz team in Britain",
they are here - in the White Room
Thank you

PS, I really can't stand those Eggheads. Such a smarmy, patronising bunch of knowalls!!
Totally agree about Eggheads @Cleoriff
There was BBC4 prog about quiz shows shown last weekend. Kevin from Eggheads was on, boasting about having the record number of points on Mastermind. He didn`t mention he has lost his title of Britain`s Quiz Champion.

It was Daphne who riled me. A woman who I would have no problem giving her a 'smack upside her head'

@pgn Wasn't Acker Bilk the first person? Just not the first group.....
You`re right @Cleoriff - according to the Guiness Book Of Hit Records
Although known as Acker Bilk and his jazzband, the record label read just Acker Bilk.
Luckily no-one gave it as an answer in the quiz so avoided a discussion
