There are two White Room Quizzes each week - one on Monday and one on Wednesday.

 

Today`s White Room Quiz is one of the popular "Odd Questions" editions.

Instead of two questions from each of four categories, there are eight questions - with one question on each of these subjects

 

- INITIALS  MOTORWAYS  MAPS   FLAGS  POSTCODES  CURRENCY  CARS  CLOTHES

 

The White Room Quiz is open to all members.

Those wishing to take part must pm me - @Mi-Amigo  - their answers between 12 noon today [Wednesday] and 11.59pm tomorrow [Thursday].

Please do not post your answers on the thread.

Q8 CLOTHES - What type of clothing was a cope, popular from 1775 to 1800 ?

 

The White Room Quiz is open to all members of the Community.

Those who want to take part must send a pm [private message] to me [Mi-Amigo] with their answers between 12 noon today [Wed 15 June 2022] and 23.59 [11.59pm] tomorrow [Thurs 16 June 2022] - allowing 36 hours to pm your answers.

Please do not post your answers on the thread.

The answers - and results for each player taking part - will be posted on morning of Fri 17 June 2022

 

Each member will be awarded star.pngfor each correct answer. In addition, Thinkers will be awarded as follows

THE RULES

Each member must pm [private message] their answers to me [Mi-Amigo] after 12 noon today [Wed 15 June 2022] and before 23.59 [11.59pm] tomorrow [Thurs 16 June 2022].

No member is to post any answer on the thread.

Any answer received after 23.59 [11.59pm] on Thurs 16 June 2022 will be declared void.

No googling, wiki, youtube search for answers.

The White Room Quiz is open to all members.

New members, who have recently joined the Community, and members who have not taken part before, are welcome to join the "regulars" with this week`s quiz. 

Please feel free to post any comments on the questions - but not the answers - on this thread.

If you have any questions about the quiz, please ask and I will reply here.

Q2 MOTORWAYS - Pease Pottage services are on which British motorway ?

A2  M23

A3  Bakerloo

 

Q4 FLAGS - Which three colours are on the flag of Madagascar ?

A4  white [vertical on left]; red [horizontal above] green [horizontal on right]

 

Q5 POSTCODE - What is the postcode for Rochester, Kent ?

A5  ME

 

Q6 CURRENCY - What is the currency of Costa Rica ?

A6  Colon. some gave the answer Peso, which was the currency up to 1896 so cannot accept as correct. sorry.

 

Q7 CARS - Which UK car company produced the Chevette model from 1975 to 1984 ?

A7   Vauxhall

 

Q8 CLOTHES - What type of clothing was a cope, popular from 1775 to 1800 ?

A8   semi-circular cloak [will accept cape as correct answer]

Had my doubts about the Peso but couldn't think of anything else.

Great quiz @Mi-Amigo and like @BobM I found it tough. Bit thrown with the dates of the Cope though. As far as I know it's still worn by some members of the clergy today 😂
