There are two White Room Quizzes each week - one on Monday and one on Wednesday.

 

Today`s White Room Quiz is eight questions - with two questions on each of these categories

- PEOPLE   MOVIES   ART   GAMES

 

The White Room Quiz is open to all members.

Those wishing to take part must pm me - @Mi-Amigo  - their answers between 12 noon today [Wednesday] and 11.59pm tomorrow [Thursday].

Please do not post your answers on the thread.

Q4 GAMES 1 - How many room are on a standard UK Cleudo game board - not counting the stairs/cellar

                        in the centre of the board where the envelope is placed ?

                        You don`t have to name the rooms, I just want the total number of rooms. 

 

Q5 PEOPLE 2 - Mons Eugene Daugin invented which domestic appliance in Pars, France in 1885 ? 

 

Q6 MOVIES 2 - What is the full title of the third and final movie in the original The Omen trilogy ? 

 

Q7 ART 2 - Which Dutch artist painted three versions of his bedroom in Arles, France in 1888 and 1889 ?

 

Q8 GAMES 2 - How many white square are on a standard chess board ?

 

The White Room Quiz is open to all members of the Community.

Those who want to take part must send a pm [private message] to me [Mi-Amigo] with their answers between 12 noon today [Wed 13 July 2022] and 23.59 [11.59pm] tomorrow [Thurs 14 July 2022] - allowing 36 hours to pm your answers.

Please do not post your answers on the thread.

The answers - and results for each player taking part - will be posted on morning of Fri 15 July 2022

Each member will be awarded star.pngfor each correct answer. In addition, Thinkers will be awarded as follows

THE RULES

Each member must pm [private message] their answers to me [Mi-Amigo] after 12 noon today [Wed 13 July 2022] and before 23.59 [11.59pm] tomorrow [Thurs 14 July 2022].

No member is to post any answer on the thread.

Any answer received after 23.59 [11.59pm] on Thurs 14 July 2022 will be declared void.

No googling, wiki, youtube search for answers.

The White Room Quiz is open to all members.

New members, who have recently joined the Community, and members who have not taken part before, are welcome to join the "regulars" with this week`s quiz. 

Please feel free to post any comments on the questions - but not the answers - on this thread.

If you have any questions about the quiz, please ask and I will reply here.

I hope everyone likes the questions in today`s White Room Quiz, and finds this WRQ fun.

A1  Charlotte

 

Q2 MOVIES 1 - In the 1982 movie "ET", what was the name of the character played by Drew Barrymore ?

A2   Gertie

 

Q3 ART 1 - Which Dutch artist painted "The Backgammon Players" in 17th century ?

A3   The answer I have is Dirck Hals. Quizzers also gave Wllem Duyster and Adrian van Ostande.

        On checking, all painted a "Backgammon Players" in 17th c so I`ll award star for either amswers. 

 

Q4 GAMES 1 - How many room are on a standard UK Cleudo game board - not counting the stairs/cellar

                        in the centre of the board where the envelope is placed ?

                        You don`t have to name the rooms, I just want the total number of rooms. 

        8 - kitchen, hall, ballroom, conservatory, library, dining room, billiard room, lounge.
