There are two White Room Quizzes each week - one on Monday and one on Wednesday.

 

Today`s White Room Quiz is the Summer Edition - part of Summer On The O2 Community - with 8 questions

- one question on each of these categories

HISTORY   PEOPLE   SPACE   LITERATURE   MUSIC   ART   MOVIES   EVENTS 

Each question is, in some way, connected with 30 August.

 

The White Room Quiz is open to all members.

Those wishing to take part must pm me - @Mi-Amigo  - their answers between 12 noon today [Monday] and 11.59pm tomorrow [Tuesday].

Please do not post your answers on the thread.

Q8 EVENTS - 30 Aug annually. Last day of Shaldon Regatta which includes Great Duck Race and boating.

       In which English county is Shaldon Regatta held ?

Those who want to take part must send a pm [private message] to me [Mi-Amigo] with their answers between 12 noon today [Mon 30 Aug 2021] and 23.59 [11.59pm] tomorrow [Tues 31 Aug 2021]

- allowing 36 hours to pm your answers.

 

Please do not post your answers on the thread.

 

The answers - and results for each player taking part - will be posted on morning of Wed 01 Sept 2021

 

Each member will be awarded star for each correct answer. In addition, Thinkers will be awarded as follows

THE RULES

Each member must pm [private message] their answers to me [Mi-Amigo] after 12 noon today [Mon 30 Aug 2021] and before 23.59 [11.59pm] tomorrow [Tues 31 Aug 2021].

No member is to post any answer on the thread.

Any answer received after 23.59 [11.59pm] on Tues 31 Aug 2021 will be declared void.

No googling, wiki, youtube search for answers.

 

The White Room Quiz is open to all members.

New members, who have recently joined the Community, and members who have not taken part before, are welcome to join the "regulars" with this week`s quiz. 

 

Please feel free to post any comments on the questions - but not the answers - on this thread.

If you have any questions about the quiz, please ask and I will reply here.

Initially I thought California for Q1 as Altamont was where The Rolling Stones did a concert in 1969,

Terrible night as there was a riot and someone was killed. Then I remembered the other Altamont in Tennessee, thankfully.

Well spotted @Cleoriff 

That was a tricky question. 

Unfortunately @TallTrees gave California as her answer so that`s ^^^ why I couldn`t accept it.

Well done on getting a Bronze Thinker - as, yes, some of the questions in this quiz were much harder than usual. And thank you for what I thought was a hilarious answer to one of the questions.
