There are two White Room Quizzes each week - one on Monday and one on Wednesday.

 

Today`s White Room Quiz is an "Odd Questions" edition with 8 questions.

Instead of the questions being from the usual categories, there is one question on each of these subjects - 

 

   INITIALS   MAPS   FLAGS   CARS   NURSERY RHYMES   ALPHABET   COLOURS   CLOTHES

 

The White Room Quiz is open to all members.

Those wishing to take part must pm me - @Mi-Amigo - with their answers between 12 noon today [Monday 26 July] and 11.59pm tomorrow [Tueday 27 July]

Q2 MAPS        On an Ordnance Survey map, what does a white letter V on a blue square indicate ?

 

Q3 FLAGS       How many blue stars are there on the flag of Honduras ?

 

Q4 CARS          Which car manufacturer produced the Mii [not Mini] since 2011 ?

 

Q5 NURSERY RHYMES  In nursery rhyme "The Crooked Man", where did he find a crooked sixpence ?

 

Q6 ALPHABET  What is the eighth [8th] letter of the Greek alphabet ? 

 

Q7 COLOURS   What colour is a peridot stone ? 

 

Q8 CLOTHES   Where on the body did Prussian army soldiers wear pickelhauben in the 1840s ?

 

Those who want to take part must pm [private message] me [Mi-Amigo] with their answers between 12 noon today [Mon 26 July 2021] and 23.59 [11.59pm] tomorrow [Tues 27 July 2021]

- allowing 36 hours to pm your answers.

 

Please do not post your answers on the thread.

 

The answers - and results for each player taking part - will be posted on morning of Wed 28 July 2021

 

Each member will be awarded star for each correct answer. In addition, each member who gives

 

              EIGHT correct answers               SIX correct answers                     FOUR correct answers

                                                                THE RULES

Each member must pm [private message] their answers to me [Mi-Amigo] after 12 noon today [Mon 26 July 2021] and before 23.59 [11.59pm] tomorrow [Tues 27 July 2021].

No member is to post any answer on the thread.

Any answer received after 23.59 [11.59pm] on Tues 27 July 2021 will be declared void.

No googling, wiki, youtube search for answers.

 

New members, who have recently joined the Community, and members who have not taken part before, are welcome to join the "regulars" with this week`s quiz. 

 

Please feel free to post any comments on the questions - but not the answers - on this thread.

If you have any questions about the quiz, please ask and I will reply here.

Not sure about crooked @pgn but we definitely own strange cats - one doesn't meow as much as squeak. The other one is happy to see anyone that isn't me or my wife - you know, the people that feed him! If we try and stroke him he will arch his back to avoid it and wriggle away...
