THE ANSWERS:

Q1 [SPACE - 1] Phoebe is a moon of which planet in our solar system?

A1:  Saturn

Q2 [NATURE - 1] Where do tulips originate from?

A2: This was the QI-style question.

NOT The Netherlands - tulips first arrived there from Constantinople in 1554.

The correct answer is South East Asia - Turkey

Q3 [FOOD & DRINK - 1] What type of pasta has a name meaning "little worms"?

A3  Vermicelli

Q4 [GEOGRAPHY - 1] In which English county is the town of Stevenage?

A4  Hertfordshire

Q5 [SPACE - 2] Which planet in our solar system has the most volcanoes?

A5  Venus has the most volcanoes overall [active and non-active]

Jupiter has the most active volcanoes.

As I did not specify "overall" or "active", I will accept Venus or Jupiter as correct and award star

Q6 [NATURE - 2] What type of animal is an Avocet?

A6  a bird

Q7 [FOOD & DRINK - 2] What is the British name for a zucchini?

A7  courgette

Q8 [GEOGRAPHY - 2] How many states are there is Australia [you don`t have to name them]?

A8  6 - Western Australia, Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Northern Territory

       plus Tasmania, off-shore.

So I will accept 6 or 7 as a correct answer and award a star
