What is the weather going to like this week from where you live?

It must be one of my worst fears to be stuck in a lift ... I too am claustrophobic

Thank God, I've never been stuck in a lift. I'm not claustrophobic but still would rather not have the experience all the same.

I was just pleased I had the nurse with me.

TBH We had lifts in our apartment in Spain and I never got stuck once. I don't think I would have been overly bothered though as there was an alarm and 24 hr reception.

I think getting older brings on some irrational fears.

Yes we had the storm on Tuesday night - had to run downstairs to close the roof window on our conservatory before it started raining inside! Both wife and daughter slept through it...
Never been stuck in a lift. Not sure it is an experience I would look forward to, even though I have no problems with small spaces.

So today brings the start of the hottest day for us. It's 23c already and set to rise to 33c+....

After that I think we will have thunderstorms.....

Well it's already 27° set to rise to 39° by the afternoon. As I get the sun from about 2pm till just after 5pm, it's going to be HOT. I will try to sleep through the worst of the heat, if I can. Having a shower first, can't take a bath on a day like today.

I hope we have some showers, at the moment rain is forecast for Saturday, I believe. Thunder storms forecast on Saturday. As long as it cools it down, which it's forecast to do. I'll be happy.

It's 34 c here now and it's bloody awful. Can't sleep, can't breathe, can't get cool anywhere. Fans are going and just blowing hot air around. Cats won't eat their food and basically I can't wait for the rain.

 (I wouldn't have been saying that 3 years ago!!!)

Thunder just started, now hoping for a downpour to clear the air.
