Think we're having bad weather? This is tonight's forecast for the Northeastern US.

Same here @gmarkj. I woke at 2am and was confronted by mist and ice.

This morning, both have disappeared and it's sunny and cold. 2c

A hard frost overnight ... Winter boots with a good tread on to the pub ... taxi home as too treacherous to walk along canal towpath home ... snow and sleet forecast for North Yorkshire.

Cold in Watford at the moment. Hovering around freezing.

Another hard frost overnight ... settled on hard surfaces such as canal towpath, cars and canal boats ... gritters have been out ... forecast is snow showers with sunny intervals -1c now to expected high of 3c. I try to get outside on most afternoons for some fresh air, but slippery surfaces deter me.

Very frosty overnight and really cold this morning (about 1c)

I have to go out for blood tests at 11.30. I'd much  prefer to stay at home!!

Cold, so very cold...

Car had frosted over last night, and after a trip to the vets I didn't bother taking the dog for a walk.

This morning I tried the "warm water in a zip-lock bag" trick to defrost the windscreen. Worked very well, until it started freezing up again!

I'm in Milton Keynes tonight and it is minus 2 ; all of the cars are completely iced over.
