heart Valentine's Day for Singles heart

This is how I manage Valentine's Day as a Singleton

Make one room special - I shall be using my living room

Get the room warm

One lamp on which is a retro style rocket lamp with 0.5cm glitter in ... when switched on the glitter moves and creates shapes all around the room

Candles ... I have several candles bought and given, so time to display and light them all around the room

Wear something red ... I have a lovely red lace and sequin tunic to wear with a skirt

Perfume for the ladies ... cologne for the men

On the door of the living room is Daniel Craig as 007 James Bond wearing a tuxedo ... ... ... you may have a photo of a loved one, put a red rose near it

Music will be The Gaelic Collection double cd by Runrig featuring Donnie Munro

Food - anything you enjoy. For me it will be Greek Salad

Drink - a bottle of rose wine and lemonade

M|y favourite love / romantic song is Move Closer by Phyllis Nelson ... I shall listen to this during the day on the laptop in my workroom upstairs

Skype between friends using some of the ideas I have outlined above

Singleton or not, that strikes a lovely note with me @Anonymous

Red being my favourite colour of all time. Candles do set a mood particularly if they are scented and plentiful.

Love the thought of your lava lamp.....as you say, very retro in the 70's and are making a real comeback now. We had two but never replaced them. Very soothing and hypnotic.

Also your chosen wine is my favourite.

Sounds lovely heart

Luckily none of my cats have been bothered with candles.

No mine tend to keep away as well @Anonymous . I have also started using those wax burners.I have three. They take scented wax melts in the top with a tealight (8hr) candle warming in the base.

Like these

ComSaf Wax Melt Essential Oil Burner White - Flower Pattern, Ceramic Aroma Burners Assorted Wax Warmer Aromatherapy Tarts ...

and I have one like this

Sponsored Ad – Skin Radiance Wax Melts Burner Light in 3D Starburst Design (spare bulb included + Warranty) - Plug in Elec...

This one, you plug in, it has bulb inside (which heats and melts the wax) and the lights change colour.

Fills the room with a lovely scent all day long.
