I am a big tea drinker and never craved Earl Grey. I have tasted it only once and it's like dishwater. However, that said....back on topic....:smileywink:

What would your Captain drink then @jonsie?
Obviously Sang Som....:smileywink:

I was going to mention that's rum, so not very appropriate for consuming when on duty on a star ship! But then I remembered if they replicate it, it doesn't include the effects. If I got it correctly.

Correct, you get the same taste without it affecting your judgement.....but in real life however

Very good point re Synthohol not having the same adverse (depending on your perspective) effects as the real stuff. Begs the question, though, why Tom Paris...or rather an alien inhabiting his body and pretending to be him, was given quite a dressing down by Captain Janeway for drinking on duty. The evidence she offered to support this was the replicator logs showing him replicating alcoholic beverages, which surely shouldn't have affected him? Hmm...

I think Synthohol was the alternative with no side effects but you could still replicate the real stuff if you fancied a tipple.
