Sometimes it can help to just scream it out what's [Removed] you off....

I'll start...

As my "company" (aid relief, but behaving like a company) changed so many things.... Our teamleader was thrown out, is a normal co-worker now... The shiftplans are "planed" centrally now (I can't even say it's planned, that would imply it has a structure, but it's just like throwing [Removed] on a paper). The shiftplan is.... just no. We work our asses off, have plushours galore and the other watch has minushours. So they have freetime enough and we thought about putting containers on the watch to live there, because we don't know why we pay rent for our flats - we're hardly ever there!... And the best shifts are always given to the temporary workers who already have a very good job, so they get the extra amount on money instead of us....

Next week I can finally take my annual leave from LAST year (by law you have to take it by 31th march by exception... I got it excepted even longer. I'm so ready for a holiday!

Just keeping myself topped up on pills. Not good.

I can't pronounce the thing they say I've got but basically it's over use and it won't get any better, but I'm too young to have surgery (unless it's really bad, which it isnt) and there's a ligament tear and fluid build up from the injuries.

So it's just rest and reduced mileage.. (who's he kidding??)

Sister Cleo may as well step in here @Anonymous and say if you don't follow the medical instructions, the knee may never heal to it's full extent.

Lack of rest, will increase the damage to the ligament and then you will end up with bone rubbing on bone...

10 times worse and less chance of total healing....

Sorry to be a doomsayer, but that's as near as dammit.. slight_frown

Having twice had surgery on a knee, I would agree with Sister @Cleoriff @Anonymous.
Knees are important parts of keeping you moving and not just where exercise is concerned - my nan is having no end of problems with hers and it is seriously impacting her mobility.
So if they tell you to rest make sure you do!

That's what I've got.. bone on knee cap.. cholandamalacia or something and there ain't much left of either, but the sooner it disintegrates the sooner I get a new one (Apparently) but they won't do it immediately because I'm too young now!

Chondromalacia Patellae

Chondromalacia patellae (also known as CMP) is inflammation of the underside of the patella and softening of the cartilage. The cartilage under the kneecap is a natural shock absorber, and overuse, injury, and many other factors can cause increased deterioration and breakdown of the cartilage.

Very common @Anonymous. I'm surprised they are putting an age restriction on surgery though. You need to move to my neck of the woods. We aren't so stupid or uncaring. rolling_eyes

It's crippling at times but you've just got to march on thru (pardon the pun) If I can wait 5+ years then the new joint will last until I'm well past dead but doing it now they can't guarantee they'll have to do it again when I'm 80.
And i've told them, they're not sticking a camera In there now to have a poke around and speed up the disintegration.

Depending on which one your hospital uses, knee replacements can last 12-25 years

Arthroscopy often helps to remove the loose debris around the joint. It doesn't speed up the disintegration. They can also wash out a lot of the 'junk' and relieve the pain....

You may have gathered that orthopaedics was my main area of specialism..wink
