I have been on the receiving end of a robocaller from London numbers thrice in the last 24hrs,to my mobile - Stay on your guard!

The numbers:

Today around 9am: 020 3467 2896

Yesterday 9am & 12:30pm: 020 3868 9428

I have had a robot caller today about 1pm to my landline phone...I don't answer this phone, since 2016 it has been on an answer phone. So robo caller left message to say there has been suspicious activity on my system press 1 so that we can rip you off completely....yeah yeah let me think now you would like my?? Oh yes bank details.

'Amazon' keep calling me on my landline about my Prime subscription. Not Amazon at all but someone else who wants me to give over my bank details. AS IF!!

I forgot to say, @Cleoriff and @TallTrees - the calls I have been getting are about "HMRC", a pending legal case and my attendance at the "county courthouse".... the call was reattempted at around lunchtime again today, but I had blocked that number on my mobile - so I don't know where the call ended up!

 I looked up the phone number that called this afternoon all linked to 020 rest of numbers vary slightly ~ @pgn  and @Cleoriff

Some people saying told needed access to router to update security press 1 etc.

Others saying that your bank card has just been used in a foreign country press 1 etc.

HMRC was one too.

And both Landline (yeah, we still have one, provisioned through the Broadband though!) and Mobile are registered with the TPS, Telephone Preference Service - we get less on Landline now, but having had to register my Mobile for a couple of reasons lately seems to have pushed the robocalls to it through the roof in the last few days.

And yes, TPS only cuts down unwanted Sales cold-calling if the cold-calling company itself agrees to abide by the TPS standards.

I used to have lots per day 2016 after TALKTALK hack...after a few years😂 they dropped off a lot not to mention decided not to answer, switch on answer phone. Got a serious mobile phone and never looked back.

On the topic of cold-calling, my most successful wind-up of the caller was good, but this is comedy gold 🤣
