I don't know about anyone else, but my diary looks a lot different next week to this week. What with hair appointments, nail appointments, a catch up with friends AND the 2nd race of the F1 season, I am feeling quite dizzy with excitement!!

Off out this morning about 11ish. Going to see our granddaughter, who tells me she is going to show me exactly what needs to be done regarding her Type 1 diabetes.

Apparently she has already got the testing of blood and urine down to a fine art and is able to give her own dose of insulin. She's sorted out the weighing and measuring of foodstuff etc.

I told her I will welcome her sharing her knowledge with me as I rarely looked after patients with diabetes.

Just got an awful feeling I am going to be the guinea pig....

Yep, I suspect I will be her very own voodoo testing doll for the time I'm there.

Good job her machine doesn't test for urea, creatinine or potassium, otherwise she would be calling an ambulance for me,...
