Same day every year...
Some interesting titbits about it:https://www.almanac.com/content/first-day-spring-vernal-equinox

Yes and for me a bonus as it supposedly equals the same amount on daylight hours as night time. Which means I will slowly recover from being S.A.D.

My lawns are getting the first mow of the year today (thank god!) My son will be popping around to do them.
We have a good set up. He goes straight into the garage which I unlock, brings out lawnmower, the extension lead is ready in conservatory and away he goes.
In actual fact we have all had our Covid vaccinations anyway, so it wouldn't be a problem, but I'll stick to the rules.
I love the smell of newly mown grass.

Exactly @pgn
Then when all the work is done, I'll take a seat on the garden bench and just inhale....
If anyone asks me my favourite smell, it would never be coffee brewing or bread baking... it would be the smell of newly mown grass, a new book, (not Kindle, a proper paper book) and night scented stock in my garden.
My other half thinks I am completely mad. When a new book arrives fom Amazon, the first thing I do is open it and smell the new print.
Still, it's far better than sniffing glue I expect.![]()

Speaking of new things, that new car or new carpet smell has to rank high on the scale, @Cleoriff.
On the topic of new carpet, I expect you saw the Henry photo in the ITV coverage of the new No10 (de-)Briefing Room:
I spotted this earlier, and had to laugh:
You get your kicks where you can ๐คฃ
I still think it should've been a Dyson lurking in the corner, but perhaps Henry says something much more loudly ๐ค
