checking on my cat Marvellous Marty the Magnificent = beside me in his pet-bed under the wooden desk Cat

on which new basic desktop printer will be put = on or around next payday ..... I mean upon the wooden desk not upon the cat Smiley LOL 

kicked my old basic Epson printer in frustration many many months ago Destroy

therapeutic for me for about 3 nano-seconds but really, really bad for the printer Destroy

well, let's see if there are many takers for my initial entry into the off-top unofficial world of 'the lounge area'

Funny that. When I was in Chelsea & Westminster in London @jonsie, Friday was fish and chip day as well. Wonder if all UK hospitals are the same.

I used to look forward to it as it was the best meal of the week; certainly the most edible!

I think it's a Christian tradition that goes way back in history. Fish on Fridays has always been the family dish as long as I can remember and when we owned a chippy we always sold more fish on a Friday teatime than any other sessions.

Tradition at our hospital as well. ..Though there is always a choice of other dishes on the menu. I might add....not bad all all for hospital food which gets a very bad rep normally

Apparently it's a Catholic tradition whereas no red meat was eaten on a Friday to symbolise the crucifixion of our Lord and the reason McDonald's invented the filet of fish.... who knew?
