I hope Leonardo DiCaprio finally gets an award. He has done some amazing acting and deserves to be recognised for it.
I have to agree @gemz4the1, he's been fantastic for years, but he is astounding in this movie.

I just don't like Sam Smith.... or any of his songs.....he is a bit bland for my liking....
Hes a rubbish singer, doesn't deserve to be nominated, his song was the only bad thing about Spectre

I really hope he does win Best Actor this year. The Revenant is a true culmination of his talents up to now (Blood Diamond, The Aviator, Wolf of Wall Street, The Departed, to name only a few)
However, if Mad Max wins best film instead of The Revenant, I'll still be happy. That film is flippin' insane in the best possible way.

@Bambino re your comments above...I wonder if you have seen this latest news? Some black actors are boycotting the Oscars. http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-35348062

Idris Elba also addressed Parliament today.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-35347105
Idris Elba has called for greater diversity in the media - both in front of and behind the camera - in an address to MPs in Parliament.
The Luther star urged better representation of women, disabled people and people of different races.
Speaking of how many actors decide to work abroad, he described the American Dream as "the most famous diversity policy of all."
"The problem is the gap between the dream and reality."

The President of the Academy Awards association is also getting involved and looking to address this in the future also.
I do however wish the best of luck to all who have been nominated. Leo for Best Actor is my only desire :). As @gemz4the1 says, he really deserves it.
Is Wolf Hall worth a watch @Anonymous? I;ve heard good things! I cant wait to see Mark Rylance play The BFG later this year too!
