The maddest show on TV returns on Sat 01 Jan 2022!!

Yes, the Masked Singer is back on ITV for the third series tonight at 7pm, with second show tomorrow.

The show features 12 celebrities in disguise and a panel [and we the viewers] tries to work out  from the performances and clues who is behind the mask.

This year`s Masked Singers are:

Comedian and presenter, Joel Dommett is back as host of the show.

The panel for series 3, returning to judge, are Jonathan Ross; Rita Ora, Davina McCall and Mo Gilligan.

I`ll be watching. Will previous Masked Singer viewers, inc @Cleoriff  @gmarkj  @sheepdog , and anyone else be watching ???

I think the differences in opinion week-to-week is one of the things which adds to the Masked Singer.

I thought Mushroom gave the best performance this week.

My comment about Rockhopper was based on the song choice and her delivery this week, which I wasn`t keen on, but that said, she gave the best performance in previous weeks and I`m sure will up the anti- next week and is still a serious contender to win it.

I've given up with the clues, just sending me off into random directions but I'm having fun! Would never have guessed the face behind Poodle. Not heard of him to be honest bar their big hit. Oh well 🤣 

More random jumping:

Donut: From the Argentina clue, I reckon its the '86 game against Argentina so Peter Shilton, John Barnes or Chris Waddle. Two of those have infamous appearances on records and wait, surprisingly so has Peter Shilton. Really! I'd be going John Barnes though. 

Panda: no idea but some clues in her voice leads me to think its Kristin Chenoweth. Rather good singer on the stage and you've probably come across her in various programs singing away. Speaking voice isn't too away from the costume voice! 

Robobunny: maybe not Bruce Willis but you never know. Anyway the clue about family pointing my warped mind to The Jacksons and Randy Jackson. But did like the Donny Osmond suggestion by the panel.

Latest from Telly Mix but with no clue about the songs!

Those left in the competition ahead of the latest episode are Mushroom, Panda, Rockhopper, Firework Robobunny, Traffic Cone and Doughnuts.

Each will be performing a brand new song this Saturday night before TWO are eliminated from the competition.

The panel are joined by that stupid berk, Olly Alexander from Years and Years!

I just hope Rockhopper and Mushroom are saved.

I was pleased to see Mushroom voted through to next week - very good performance; but was a shock that Rockhopper was in the bottom three. I thought Rockhopper gave the best performance of the night.

OK I was critical of her performance last week but upped the anti this week and I`m pleased the panel saved her.

In my opinion, the right two celebs were voted off - Firework and Doughtnuts.

Next week is the semi-final.

Like you I was shocked to see Rockhopper in the bottom three. Hers was the performance of the night.

This is the 2nd time she's been in the bottom (two/three) I don't think the public take to her which just shows how stupid they are. 😂

RoboBunny confuses me. Sings like a man then changes to sing like a woman?

I think Panda could be Lisa Stansfield.

I have a feeling Mushroom is Sheridan Smith who has a great voice. Anyone remember Cilla?

Sticking with Charlotte Church for Mushroom purely on the welsh connection a few shows back. 

Panda - missed this performance so watched it on youtube and came up with Danni Minogue for no reason than its not Mary Berry. Who does have a skincare range and "up my street" might hint at Kylie in Neighbours (Ramsey Street) or an obscure reference to Home & Away. Though some comments on youtube are saying Natalie Imbruliga who was also in Neighbours. 

We were all still completely in the dark about Firework's unmasking after all the clues. Great fun watching Rita Ora though when she found out its her friend!

BTW had another interesting thought on who Panda is. Reece Witherspoon. Sing 2 is doing the promo rounds and there's few similarities in her voice to convince me. Either that it is Bruce Willis 🤣
