So at last, it's the first day of Spring 2016....
I won't go into the vernal equinox explanation. I am sure everyone knows all about it
For me, it's very straightforward. The mornings and evenings are lighter...the daffodils are in bloom ...and the birds are tweeting away merrily.
Mind you ....I can't say its any warmer today than yesterday....roll on summer..

Can't wait to change the clocks next weekend.
Yes....March 27th 2016. ....
I remember what to do by using this old expression
Spring Forward .....(Clocks go forward in Spring.... and we have an hours LESS time in bed)
Fall Back......In October when they go back an hour (in Autumn or Fall) , to prepare for winter
I will be in Spain with no time constraints so losing an hour in bed means little to me

Yes the government always decide these kinds of things. The date of the time change is different in the US. Normally we're five hours ahead of US eastern time, but at the moment we're only four, as they put their clocks ahead last week. Used to be the same date, but they changed it over there a few years ago to get more daylight hours and use less electricity. They go back in the fall later than we do too.
Never feels like Spring to me until we change the clocks, but it's a nice day with the sun popping through every now and then, so enjoy everyone!
