After about an hour at the laptop ... I have a bad pain in my head ... a sort of clump of pain

I'm wondering if anyone else has anything similar ?

Back in the day I remember there were separate mesh screens placed upon the computer screens for eye health

Also black screens with either orange or bright green print on ... anyone remember this ?

I do excercises for upper body tension ... bad back, shoulders, neck ... = ... this is a legacy from always doing office work 'sitting up and begging' stance at desks, no ergonomics then

After the bad head I have to close down the laptop, take 2 x co-codamol & go to bed to recover

You probably know this, but no harm in reiterating for laptop users:

Tension in the neck can manifest as head pain.

Hope the nap helps, and the pain stays away when you return.

I used to have problems @Anonymous  though now I have a higher chair it doesn't happen as frequently.

The clumping headaches sound pre-migraine to me, so maybe you need to take longer breaks from your PC?...

Thank you @pgn & @Cleoriff

The diagrams you posted pgn are very helpful ... I am not sitting at a correct posture

Yes Cleo ... I am trying to limit myself to 1/2 hour  at a time instead of 1 hour in the evenings

I do have proper computer glasses & am grateful for them

Using my mobile does not seem to bother me

You might want to have a look at the many screen filters on Amazon @Anonymous

Thank you very much @jonsie

I have had a look and they all seem to be about privacy filters ... I don't think I need one of those

Please, are you able to help me further

I have turned the brightness on the laptop down to about 35%

My computer glasses don't have a brown tint like my general bi-focals

Let's hope that improves things along with the correct posture
