Headline : The 10 most disappointing gadgets of 2014.

Excerpt from the Link " We've seen loads of amazing gadgets in 2014, but there have also been plenty that left us feeling disappointed. That doesn't mean they're rubbish (although some are!), but when it comes to gadgets like the Amazon Fire Phone or Apple iPad Mini 3, we were just expecting more. So read on to see the tech that left us feeling underwhelmed during the past year."

My Thoughts :

We've had a fantastic thread from @gemz4the1 here Tech That We Said Goodbye To In 2014

What in your opinion was the most disappointing gadget of 2014 ?

For me it possibly was the Apple iPad Mini 3 as touched upon in the link.

Agreed.

I was a bit surprised that it took so long for O2 to release a fully working myo2 option tho.

I still think o2 don't class Microsoft/windows phone as a big player in the mobile phone world unlike apple or samsung

An oversight if that's the case 😞 - akin to how Blackberry Handsets have been given a veto until recently too. 😒

The Amazon Firephone. So much hype and apparently delivered so little. The fact they dropped the price dramatically was testament to this. In fact in the USA didn't Amazon start pulling them from sale at one point?

I know they are back now and still too expensive but I think Amazon should think twice about dipping their toes into the pond again

I thought it was just 20gb of data they offered...I could be wrong though. I wouldn't have had the phone in any case...

From this thread -> http://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Pay-Monthly-and-Pay-Go/Amazon-fire/m-p/830396/highlight/true#M84012 regarding the offer for an Amazon fire 8Gb tab for £1

Probably the Fire phone but only because it was the most innovative thing that failed to deliver. It will be back though with more improvements as its a part of the Amazon ecosystem to come.

Though I'm guessing 2015 won't have much in the way of innovation and we'll be stuck with more of the same I'm afraid as saturation point has been reached.
